Have you ever dreamed of owning a vintage Porsche? Well, the Porsche Club of America (PCA) is launching a big contest that will give one lucky enthusiast the keys to a fully-restored 1973 911 T coupe. The winner will be announced in August of next year during PCA’s largest annual gathering, known as Porsche Parade (Savannah, GA).

Only thing is, you have to be a PCA member to enter the contest, says Laurance Yap, Public Relations Manager at Porsche Cars Canada Ltd.

Every year, members get the chance to win various new Porsche models as part of sweepstakes. This will be the first time that PCA offers a vintage model from Porsche Classic, the Zuffenhausen brand’s car restoration experts.

The outer shell of the soon-to-be-resurrected 911 T was put on display at this summer’s Porsche Parade in St. Charles, IL. The amount of work that needs to be done is monumental!

Nicknamed "Model F," this 911 coupe features a narrow body prized by Porsche car collectors as well as an air-cooled, 2.4-litre, flat-6 engine producing 140 horsepower at 5,600 rpm.

Originally, the car sported a silver body and a black interior, which was a popular combination at the time. However, 1973 was also the year that Porsche stopped manufacturing Model F, making it even more exclusive and desirable.

Along with the car, the winner should expect to receive a volume depicting the entire restoration process from start to finish as well as a special CD with over a thousand pictures.

PCA is the largest association of Porsche enthusiasts in the world with more than 104,000 members, most of whom live in the United States and Canada.
