As reported by Porsche
MISSISSAUGA – Starting in September, Porsche will offer three new individualization options that further increase the sportiness of the Panamera range. These include a Powerkit for the Panamera Turbo, which raises engine output by 40 hp to 540 hp, a Sport Design Package and new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels.
The key elements of the Panamera Turbo Powerkit are two new turbochargers with titanium/aluminium turbine wheels. Engine management has been adapted accordingly and the result is an further improvement of the engine's response. In Sport Plus mode, the Panamera Turbo fitted with the Powerkit accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds – 0.1 seconds faster than the stock car; top speed is 305 km/h. Despite the extra power and torque, economy remains the same as the regular Panamera Turbo, a reflection of the Porsche Intelligent Performance development philosophy of improved performance with no penalty in fuel consumption.
With its new Sport Design Package, Porsche offers its Panamera customers another possibility to customize their cars’ exterior design. The package includes a unique front end with widened black air intake grilles, separate side skirts and the standard and a painted rear underbody apron with diffuser and fins. Starting in October 2010, the Sport Design Package will be available from Porsche Exclusive, or for retrofitting from Porsche Tequipment.
For enhanced appearance and driving dynamics, the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels are 9.5" wide on the front axle and 11.5" on the rear axle. Thus, they offer a larger tire contact area and sit flush with the wheel arches. The wheels are available from Porsche Exclusive in GT Silver Metallic, black, or painted in the same colour as the car.
