Bad news for Porsche fans in Canada and the U.S.: The German sports car manufacturer has decided to skip the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit (Jan. 8-22), even though it’s still one of the largest and most important shows on the planet.

Porsche won’t be alone, mind you, as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren will all stay home, too.

According to the German website Auto Motor und Sport, Porsche believes the costs of attending the NAIAS are too big for the benefits that it will enjoy.

Look for Porsche to attend auto shows in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, however. In fact, the company reportedly plans to double its stand in Chicago.
