Prodrive, the engineering firm associated with legendary World Championship Rally drivers such as Colin McRae and Petter Solberg, is set to transform a MINI Countryman S into a genuine four-wheel rocket.
The all-wheel-drive vehicle will receive a muscular body kit and carbon fibre rear wing. While the interior is expected to remain unchanged for the most part, the powertrain is an entirely different story.
A modified version of the turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Countryman S and sharing attributes with the WRC-spec John Cooper Works model will sit under the hood and team up with a Milltek exhaust system.
Sources have indicated that the 1,455-kg car had run 230 horsepower on the dyno, but there's still hope for a larger turbo and even more power.
