Subaru will take advantage of the upcoming Frankfurt auto show to unveil the final-version XV, a five-seater crossover version concept, originally presented in Chicago earlier this year.
The Japanese automaker has confirmed that the first deliveries will begin in early 2012 and that the production version will remain true to the concept, combining the latest developments in the brand's aesthetic department.
By marketing the XV while putting forward its AWD expertise, Subaru hopes to attract new customers seeking the benefits of a crossover in its showrooms.
As far as powertrain goes, the only thing we know so far is that the XV concept featured a 2.0-litre four-banger and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Sadly, no specifications are provided at this point and time, meaning that we will have to wait yet another month to know all the juicy stuff.
In the meantime, you can always let your imagination go wild by looking at this teaser.
