Chrysler Canada will start the Chrysler PT Cruiser at $23,200 for what the company calls "the nicely equipped base model" and list the top-of-the-line Limited Edition at $27,400.
Chrysler PT Cruiser goes on sale at DaimlerChrysler Canada retailers in May and is powered by a 2.4-litre DOHC 16-valve SMPI four-cylinder engine rated at 150 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm.
The standard model includes a 5-speed manual transaxle or an optional electronic 4-speed automatic.
The standard Chrysler PT Cruiser includes front airbags, air conditioning, dual remote control mirrors, AM/FM stereo radio and cassette player with CD controls and six speakers, power driver and front passenger one-touch down windows, a 65/35 split rear seat that can be folded, tumbled or removed, a multi-position rear shelf panel, front and rear floor mats, and a height adjustable steering column.
The Limited Edition include a touring suspension, leather front seats, fog lamps, chrome exhaust tip, supplemental seat-mounted side air bags for front occupants, an overhead console, cruise control, fold-flat front passenger seat, deep-tint sunscreen glass, dual power heated fold-away mirrors, Sentry Key theft deterrent system, remote keyless entry, power door locks, security alarm system, 16" chrome-plated aluminum wheels, and "a number of other luxury features."
