Rally America: Ken Block opens up lead after Day One of 100 Acre (+photos and video)

Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino ended the first day of action at the 100 Acre Wood rally with an 18.6 seconds lead, according to Rally America.

Unfortunately for all the Canadian Rally Championship fans out there, Antoine L'Estage had to let go second place when their gearbox failed on Stage 4. Crazy Leo Urlichich is still holding the Canadian torch, in fourth place.

Now in second place, chasing the Monster World Rally 2012 Ford Fiesta of Block-Gelsomino, are Subary Rally Team USA Dave Higgins and Craig Drew.

In third place stands Rally America new-comer and three-time Polish Rally Champion Krzysztof Holowczyc.
