The Citroen World Rally Team tested again their DS3 rally car, which is expected to be Citroen's next WRC challenger from 2011.
Citroen works driver Dani Sordo and Junior Team driver Sebastien Ogier drove the new car for two days each in France, with Sordo's second day cut slightly short after a part broke on the car.
The DS3 is expected to replace the C4 to coincide with the FIA changing the WRC rules to reduce costs.
The WRC DS3 will use a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine in accordance with the new R3 regulations. However, the current tests are performed using the engine from its C4 World Rally Car.
Citroen indicated that the engineers and the drivers are essentially working on the suspension and the transmission for the moment.
