You almost never hear about a heavy truck breaking fuel economy records. But that's exactly the feat the new Mercedes-Benz Actros managed to pull off. This 40-ton tractor/trailer consumed 19.44 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers during a 7-day round-the-clock test drive of 12,728.94 kilometers.
