Saturday morning NASCAR officials have announced that owner/driver Robby Gordon has been placed on probation for an indefinite period of time due to a confrontation in the garage on Friday evening at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The same officials would not confirm or deny the other party involved was Kevin Conway.
Last year Conway had a contract to drive Robby Gordon’s car towards the end of the season. Gordon is contending that he has not received payment and sued Conway’s sponsor Extenze for $690,000.
Ordinarily NASCAR punishments are announced on Tuesdays but the NASCAR officials have called this an “emergency action” situation. Gordon was not suspended.
