Ontario's Robert Wickens, a member of the Red Bull driver development program, competed this season in the Champ Car Formula Atlantic series. Robert began in the European Formula Renault 3.5 series this past weekend as part of Great Britain's Carlin Motorsports organisation.
During the four free practice sessions, Wickens set the 23rd, 15th, 17th and 14th best lap times.
He qualified in 9th place and arrived home in 12th position in the first race. In the second race of the weekend, Wickens finished 10th, beating several regular competitors such as Guillaume Moreau, Richard Philippe and Ben Hanley.
