While diesels are a dime-a-dozen in Europe, us North Americans aren't so fond of them (for some bizarre reason). However, it seems that one of North Americans giants is possibly taking the hint from across the pond and planning to offer one of its most popular models in diesel form: Chevy's Cruze.
The Associated Press reported that a diesel-powered Cruze is possibly (hopefully) in the books to arrive on U.S. soil in the coming two years. Currently, GM sells a Cruze equipped with a diesel engine in Europe and Australia, but will need to tweak the set-up in order to meet US emissions standards.
GM has neither confirmed or denied the diesel Cruze, and no formal announcement has been made regarding the model.
