"We are always impressed with the range of ideas developed in different parts of Canada," says LeBlanc. "As an example, the retailers in Burnaby, Surrey and Richmond, BC are joining forces to donate money for an elephant exhibit at the Vancouver Zoo, and they'll treat customers and their families to a day at the zoo with a barbecue and a picnic."
In Calgary, the two retailers are purchasing tickets to the Calgary Flames to take under-privileged children to the hockey games and are treating their customers to a day at Race City Speedway and a barbecue on Saturn Reunion weekend.
In Whitby, the retailer is once again sponsoring a week-long leadership camp for Grade 9 students, and the retailer in Blainville, Quebec – with the aid of his customers and their families – is building an addition to an ecological park which was started at a previous Saturn Reunion.
In Ste-Foy, Quebec, the two retailers are combining to renovate the children's play area at the local hospital and then fill it with toys, before treating their customers and families to an IMAX movie presentation, barbecue and family fun day.
The Fredericton and Moncton retailers are each donating a brand new Saturn to be raffled off to raise money for a summer camp for children who are burn victims and will also take their customers and families to a movie.
