Making one of the sexiest cars on the road look even better is tricky business, but it seems that Infiniti is never quite content to leave well enough alone. Maybe this approach explains why, prompted by sales of the new G Sedan, the luxury automaker experienced its best month ever in December, selling over 6,500 units.

It's the constant evolution of their products to which Infiniti owes much success, and it's just been applied to the G Coupe- arguably one of the all-time best looking coupes on the road. A sketch was recently released to preview the look of the next-generation model which will be showcased at the 2007 New York International Autoshow in April.

The sketch sees the current G 35's look balanced on a knife-edge. It manages to keep the overall silhouette and presence of the standard model, though most of the lines and angles are far more intentional- the look having been maintained but sharpened and made more aggressive. All the while, the G Coupe concept sketch retains the tasteful grace and elegant visual execution the current model is known for.

"Since the Infiniti Coupe Concept was unveiled last year, there's been a lot of speculation about the new G Coupe and what it will look like," says Mark Igo, VP and GM of Infiniti. "We're looking forward to the introduction of the G Coupe and the luxury crossover concept at this year's New York International Auto Show. It's still a few months away, but trust me, it's worth the wait."

The crossover he speaks of will be available alongside the new G Coupe and G Sedan, fulfilling a promise of three all-new machines in 13 months.
