Late in the summer of 2006, Suzuki will be introducing their all-new SX4 sport crossover vehicle. The body configuration will consist of a practical 5-door hatchback design.
Production of the European model will begin this month at Suzuki's assembly
plant in Hungary. The world debut of the SX4 will be at the Geneva auto show in March of 2006. The US premiere of the vehicle will coincide with the New York auto show.
The SX4 will be equipped with an available AWD system, a frugal and technologically advanced 2.0L inline 4-cylinder and the choice of either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The Tri-mode AWD system will feature a switch with which the driver will be able to select between 2WD, AUTO (AWD-high) and a LOCK mode (AWD lock).
