It is powered by two electric engines that boast a power of 300 horsepower from zero to 5000 rpm. The engine is fed by two lithium-ion batteries of 140 kg each that produces 31 kWh each, enough to cover 200 km.
Citroen engineers say that the batteries can be recharged in just two hours with a special equipment, and in 10 hours when connected to the standard 220V European power supply.

The car weighs 1150 kg and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds, and can do the kilometer from standstill in just 22 seconds. The Survolt is capable to reach a top speed of 260 km/h.
