There'll be 5- and 6-speed manual shifters available in the new A4, and it's possible that we'll also get a new continuously-variable transmission known as a multitronic that Audi's parent firm, VW, will debut on front-drive versions of this new model.
Audi says the new A4's aluminum suspension is "pioneering" as its "low unsprung mass provides the basis for exemplary dynamic handling."
Other technology on the new A4 includes an electronic stability system, and a brake assist system.
Also improved is the A4's structural rigidity, and there's a new interior design to make the whole experience feel more upscale.
Look for A4 to arrive in Canada perhaps as early as this fall.
