The new XC90 will contribute to reaching the company's global sales goalof 500,000 units annually, including 200,000 units in North America where 65per cent of the new models will be sold, said Hans-Olov Olsson, president andCEO of Volvo Cars. About 450 units are earmarked for Canada during 2002. Priceof the XC90 will be announced later this year.
The 2003 Volvo XC90 joins the elegant S80 luxury sedan, rugged CrossCountry wagon, sporty S60 sedan, versatile V70 wagon, compact S40 and V40 andexotic C70 Coupe and Convertible in the Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. range. Volvocars are sold and serviced by 43 retailers in major markets across Canada.
