It's called the Tiger Champ 4500, and it's aimed towards consumers that require an off-road vehicle with a generous cargo capacity. The new Tiger Champ model puts the maker of fleet vehicles in competition with larger automakers who also occupy this size class- though Tiger Trucks is confident that its low cost structure and corporate support systems afford them the ability to react quickly to changes in the competitive landscape.

The Champ 4500 delivers capability by way of its 103" by 62" bed on two-door standard cab models. Additionally, there is no wheel hump intrusion into the cargo area. Total useful load capacity is over 3,300 lbs. A four-door crew-cab model is also available.

Mike Ward, President of Tiger Truck, explains another benefit the trucks offer their owners. "While the Champ, like our other vehicles, exceeds all highway requirements, Fleet Managers consider it a bonus that these vehicles will not be licensed to be driven off-site resulting in major reductions in insurance rates, associated unauthorized operating costs and concerns for their after-hours whereabouts."

Standard features include wipers, heater / defroster, turn signals, parking lights and hydraulic brakes, and the Champ starts at $12,995 US.
