Marcello Gandini
Anyone whose resume includes designing cars like the Lamborghini Miura and Countach automatically earns mention among the best in their profession. He was also the genius behind the first BMW 5 Series, the Alfa Romeo Montréal and the Renault 5 Turbo. A big chunk of Gandini’s career was spent at the Bertone firm.
Fun fact: the designer was born on the same day in the same year as another giant of automotive design, and the next on our list, Giorgetto Giugiaro.
