Top 5 driving grievances

For many, driving is one of the great pleasures in life. Ask anyone if they fancy a road trip down breathtakingly scenic roads or taming a purebred racing beast, and you’ll get a “yes, please!” every time. Unfortunately, there’s always a flip side, and the automotive world is no exception.


Indeed, complaining about other drivers is almost as popular an activity as railing against the weather, a topic of choice whenever the conversation lags. Motor Trend asked American drivers what were the five things that annoyed them the most when driving:

1. Being stuck behind slow drivers – 43.5%
2. Inattentive drivers texting and talking on cell phones – 23.2%
3. Drivers that do not use turn signals – 16.1%
4. Aggressive drivers cutting through traffic – 10%
5. Drivers who refuse to turn right on red – 7.2%
