FRANKFURT
, - Valeo's Tri-Xenon lighting technology is being launched as a world first on the new Audi Q7. In addition to traditional high and low beams, the module has a "highway" function activated at 115 km/h which doubles the range of conventional Xenon low beams (from 80 m to 140 m), without dazzling other drivers.

Depending on the orientation of the module, three additional functions are available:

- the "rain" function, which counters the reflective effect of
water on the road and improves visibility of the roadside;

- the "city" function, which redirects the beam below 30 km/h
to improve lighting of the roadsides, and particularly intersections;

- the "tourism" function, which adapts the beam in countries
where traffic flows in the opposite direction.

One of the main advantages of this module is its compactness: as with Valeo's Xenon Bi-function module, it is the smallest and lightest module on the market.
