The 2009 Sonata is also on display and it features some notable updates. Power output ratings for the 2.4-litre in-line four cylinder and 3.3-litre V6 engines have risen to 175 horsepower (+13) and 249 horsepower (+15), respectively. Meanwhile, fuel economy ratings have also improved slightly. Although the exterior appears extremely similar to the outgoing Sonata, there have been a few minor revisions to the wheels, bumpers, lights, and colour options.
For better handling, the suspension has been tweaked for a firmer ride on some Sonata models; but, all models will receive more responsive steering. All Sonatas will also now have standard auxiliary audio input / USB jacks; and, for the first time in North America, the Sonata can be equipped with a navigation system.
