Team Canada won two of the four world titles at the Rotax Max Karting Challenge Grand Finals held in Italy a week ago in Italy.
Toronto's Daniel Morad drove a stunning race in the final of the Rotax DD2 (two-speed gearbox).
On lap 13 of the race, Morad passed leader Maik Barten to move into first place.
After he crossed the finish line, Morad wanted to celebrate his victory.
However, he lost control of his kart because his shoelace got stock in the brake pedal and this created a spectacular crash, bringing Barten with him in the fence.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash, but Morad received a 500-euro fine from the race stewards.
