This is the official video of new NASCAR driver Travis Pastrana's rally hillclimb up Mt. Washington, New Hampshire in a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car.

The video may not be new, but it is extremely entertaining to watch!

Considered one of the oldest motorsports events in the United States, the Climb to the Clouds at Mt. Washington was first run in 1904, seven years before the first 500-mile race at the Brickyard in Indianapolis and twelve years prior to the inaugural Pikes Peak Hillclimb in Colorado.

The 7.6-mile-long Mt. Washington Road is lined with trees, drop-offs, and winds on the way to the 6,288-foot summit. Thick fog and freezing temperatures are always a problem when arriving near the summit of the mountain, especially when driving on gravel roads...

Multi-time Canadian Rally Champion Frank Sprongl from Mississauga, Ontario set the Climb to the Clouds record of 6:41.99 in 1998, driving his 500 horsepower all-wheel-drive Audi Quattro S2.

Sprongl's time was bested by over twenty seconds in an officially timed test session by Travis Pastrana who was still a Subaru Team USA driver.

Patrasna's officially timed run was of 6 minutes 20.47 seconds. Ouch!
