This is the preview of the first 3D animated film produced by French oil company Total, "Total Moon Race", a film about the first race held on the moon!
The film tells the story of a little boy who dreams of a Formula 1 race on the Moon. It has been made by the BUF Agency, a specialist in computer-generated special effects. The company has worked on movies like 'Arthur and the Invisibles' and 'Batman, the Dark Knight.'
"Total Moon Race" will be soon broadcasted in theatres equipped for 3D projection in France, United Kingdom, China, Canada, Belgium, and the United Arab Emirates.
Interestingly, the first Lunar Grand Prix was held for real in April 1972 when Apollo 16 commander John Young drove the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) at full speed on the surface of the moon. The Rover reached the frightening speed of 10km/h on this very bumpy and highly dusty ground.
