Paul Tracy found himself out of a job yesterday when his former employer, Forsythe Racing, announced that they will be closing down their racing operations after the Grand Prix of Long Beach in April.

Tracy told speedtv.com: "I'm in shock and I'm very, very disappointed. I haven't spoken to Jerry (Forsythe) since our meeting last December, but I think I can say we both left that meeting feeling renewed, invigorated and ready to go racing."

It won't be easy for Tracy to find a job in the IRL. Michael Andretti, boss of Andretti Green Racing, was adamant in saying that, at 40 year's old, Tracy will have a hard time fighting for a seat with younger drivers.

Tony George himself could be the one to save Tracy's career with an invitation to join his team, Vision Racing. Although, the team already confirmed their two drivers, Tony George had already had talks with Tracy a couple of months ago when the Canadian's future with Forsythe was uncertain. Vision Racing had three cars on the grid last year, so anything's possible.
