Sadly for visitors at the CIAS in Toronto, the new Cadillac ELR and Chevrolet Spark EV disappeared after making their national debut on Media Day.
Why? A GM Canada spokesman said that there were no plans to feature the plug-in cars on the public days of the show, as they both had other marketing commitments in the United States, and were loaned for that day only.
The company didn't inform the public, however, leaving many car enthusiasts disappointed.
Adding insult to injury, we've learned from the same spokesman that the V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet SS, which debuted in Daytona this past weekend, won't go on sale north of the border. Canadians therefore won't be able to enjoy this 415-horsepower, bad-ass sports sedan.
