After getting involved in road safety campaigns in Germany and the UK, the Williams F1 Team will be trying to make a difference in Qatar where speeding is responsible for more death than all other causes.
The campaign aim to raise awareness on the necessity to drive responsibly and respect the law which delimitates speeding limits as well as make the seat belts mandatory.
It is the first time that such a safety campaign will be held in the region. Williams F1 personnel will, amongst other things, present conferences in schools and universities where the safety programme will become part of the educational programme.
Williams F1 joins the Qatar National Bank and the Qatar Science & Technology Park in a campaign led by the State of Qatar which counts approximately 25,000 habitants.
Many Formula 1 teams are involved in similar campaigns that intend to use their influence to promote safe driving.
