Without further ado, the winners are...

In fifth place was Benoit Gagnon, also the 2006 Rookie of the Year, thanks to his #20 car sponsored by Lombardi Honda. Nicknamed ''Flipper'' after his multiple flips during the Tremblant race, Gagnon finished the season with 296 points.

The popular host of TVA's morning TV show undoubtedly achieved his goal of making an impression as strong on the track as on the screen.

Veteran driver Normand Boyer of Ste-Agathe won fourth place with his #16 Lombardi Honda. His six Top Ten finishes and four podiums gave him 280 points for the season.

The third place in the overall standings belonged to Tyler Givogue from Embrun, Ontario. Driving a Civic sponsored by Dow Honda, Givogue managed to collect 331 points, finishing in the Top Ten in all eight races, including five Top five finishes. He also climbed on the lower step of the podium during the last race of the season, at Mosport, on October 1st.

Didier Schraenen himself was crowned as vice-champion with 357 points, helped by his #94 Énergie/NAPA/RDS Civic. Didier took some time during his speech to list all the reasons why he let the Championship slip away from him.

He was especially funny when he grabbed the microphone to thank all of his sponsors and supporters, with no exceptions. Of course, he did not forget to mention the three women in his life. I'm telling you: that guy is hilarious!

Finally, Team Lombardi Honda's Robert Boyer of Ste-Anne-des-Lacs was awarded the Civic Championship trophy. This talented driver and sympathetic fellow totalled 381 points in eight races. He did something that had never been seen before: climbing on the podium in each and every race this season.

Robert held up to all the hype and the expectations surrounding him. He's a great champion for a race series that had a successful rebirth.

Near the end of the gala, in a moving speech, Steven Laporte was allowed to apologize to all drivers, particularly Emmanuel Boivin-Moreau, for his disgraceful maneuvers during the seventh race of the season, at Tremblant, on September 24.

Flagworld Communications is proud to have taken part in the success of the Championship by posting racing photos of Tremblant and Montreal on the Civic Championship official Website.
