The SBK circus come to Monza this weekend, the exciting high speed track near Milan, and home of the draft, of high speed corners that lead to long straightaways or tight chicanes, and incredible drafting battles at the craftily positions start-finish line.

Veteran rider Noriyuke Haga (Ducati) comes to Monza with 189 points after four rounds (8 races), a clear 60 points ahead of SBK rookie Ben Spies (Yamaha), who has either won races or crashed every time out so far this season.

Haga knows Monza well while Spies has never raced there, but that has not prevented the young American from running up front as long as the bike is upright. The rest of the field, be it ex MotoGP veterans such as Carlos Checa (Honda), Max Biaggi (Aprilia) or Régis Laconi (Ducati), or young guns such as Leon Haslam (Honda), Max Neukirchner (Suzuki), Michele Fabrizio (Ducati),Tom Sykes (Yamaha) or Jacob Smrz (Ducati) will fight like mad dogs over the scraps left by the leaders.
