Intercontinental Rally Challenge reigning champion Kris Meeke is rumoured to join MINI programme for the WRC championship in 2011.
Autosport magazine revealed the deal between Meeke and Prodrive, who will run the MINI Countryman official program in the WRC. However, Meeke did not confirm the news.
Marcus Gronholm will perform the first tests of the Countryman next week in Portugal, and should decide later if he will drive for the iconic British make (owned by BMW) in the 2011 season.
It is also possible that the Finn will only provide technical assistance to the team.
P-G Andersson is also rumoured to join the team next year.
