Sebastien Ogier is rumoured to get closer to a deal with Ford to 2012 World Rally Championship season.
Following rally Germany, where he was told not to attack his team mate Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier looks to be no longer part of team Citroën next season.
Last year, Ford already made an offer to the Frenchman to join the team, but Citroën finally managed to keep Ogier on a DS3 for 2011. This time, it looks different, considering the tensions between Loeb and Ogier since rally Germany.
Australian website RallySport Magazine explained that Kim Vatanen, Sébastien Ogier’s manager, was seen discussing with Mathew Wilson during rally Australia. Ford could run a third Fiesta WRC alongside Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala next year, unless Ogier would accept the offer from Volkswagen, although the german manufacturer will make his WRC debuts in 2013 only.
Ford’s implication in WRC with Team M-Sport next season is still to be confirmed.
