Citroen driver Sebastien Ogier will gets his next big chance on the World Rally Championship when he steps up to the factory team for the three gravel rallies that remain this season, in Finland, Japan and Great Britain.
On those three events, Loeb’s usual teammate, Dani Sordo will occupy the Citroen Junior Team car that Ogier normally drives.
However, Sordo will retain his seat on the four asphalt rounds that make up the backbone of the remainder of the 2010 season: Bulgaria, Germany, France and Spain.
Citroen team principal Olivier Quesnel pointed out that the move should not be interpreted as a punishment for Sordo, who has endured a lackluster start to the season.
