Just like that and it's over. source: paddocktalk.com - Brad Gerhart Five nights of wonderful moments, pure excitement both on, off the track and friends, are all but a memory. Memories that will last a lifetime. Every Champ Car experience somehow, some way, exceeds the previous. And Montreal was no exception. The nightly street festivals in Montreal add to the race weekend and could not be matched by any other track that I have been to. The city comes alive when the lights go out! Great entertainment with bands and countless Champ Car fans talking about racing and their eventful day at the track, as all anticipate another fabulous day. Montreal has or had it all. Unfortunately this may be the last. Montreal is such a sad situation for Champ Car. It is one of the best Champ Car events, and the venue clearly knows how to put on a proper race weekend. Most tracks struggle with off-track events but Montreal far exceeds any expectations and has put forth second-to-none off-track activities that will be hard to equal. Not to mention the great on-track product the circuit has delivered. The script is one that should be followed by other Champ Car street events in order to give every fan a top notch experience with quality entertainment. What is amazing to me is how Champ Car fans come from different backgrounds, cities, provinces and even country's, yet for one weekend we all become one. Every story is different, but they are all equally meaningful as we share our past race experiences. It's a remarkable feeling and situation that I think everyone should take part. And for those that do, they know this unique, amazing experience that we call Champ Car. I'm sure everyone that experienced Montreal this year, wouldn't trade it for anything.
