For the Lance Armstrong Foundation at the Champ Car Grand Prix of Road America source: Nadia Petrossi - Rocketsports Racing Rocketsports driver, Alex Tagliani and Bronte Tagliani, host of Dangerous Curves on Spike TV, will turn laps on their bicycles at the 4.048 mile Road America course in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. On August 7th during the Champ Car World Series Grand Prix of Road America weekend, drivers from the Champ Car World Series and bicycling enthusiasts will ride together to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF). Champ Car's favorite couple are avid cyclists and take to the Nevada hills outside of their Las Vegas home regularly on their bikes. Alex and Bronte train together and are excited about the opportunity to work-out for such a worthy cause with a large group of like-minded, health and racing enthusiasts. Wisconsin-based, Trek Bicycles will supply the duo with demo bikes for the Elkhart Lake cycling event. Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist, Lance Armstrong, the LAF seeks to promote the optimal physical, psychological, and social recovery and care of cancer survivors. The LAF is working to identify and improve cancer survivor services and facilitate the delivery of those services--and a large dose of hope--to the patients, their families, and other loved ones touched by the disease. In the weeks following Lance's bid for an amazing 6th Tour de France victory, the Taglianis, along with a handful of other Champ Car drivers, will join a group of cyclists who have made substantial donations to the LAF. Together the group will ride five laps around one of America's premier road course facilities, Road America.
