Racing takes place between the 15 and 18 March 2006, at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida, and centres around the 54th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring - America's oldest and most prestigious sports car race. The Star Mazda race will take place on Friday 17 March and will be Charlie's first event in America; although he has recently visited the Sebring facility for Champcar winter testing. The owner of the Andersen Racing team, Dan Andersen, commented "We're delighted to add someone as talented as Charlie Hollings to our driver line-up for Sebring, as he brings great open-wheel experience and maturity. With our car, crew and experience, he should be at the front of the field. We are hopeful that a successful outing will enable him to finalise a deal with us for the season, thereby filling our fourth and final seat." Charlie, 23, had an impressive year in 2005 competing in the British Formula 3 Championship's National class for the Silverstone-based Promatecme/Lola team. He finished in fifth place overall while clocking-up four victories, eight pole positions and 12 podiums. Charlie is still looking at his racing options for 2006, including: Formula 3, Champcar Atlantic and Renault World Series, as well as Touring Cars and GT Racing. However, for now he is totally focused on the Star Mazda event at Sebring.
