Carpentier completed their warm-up session this Monday morning in preparation
for today's London Champ Car Trophy at Brands Hatch, England.
Carpentier was quickest of the 19 drivers entered for Round 4 of the Champ Car
World Series. The Canadian posted his best time toward the end of the session
with a lap time of 37.829 seconds. He averaged 182.558 km/h around the
1.918-kilometre (1.192-mile) Brands Hatch road-racing course. His teammate Tracy
finished fourth with a lap time of 38.241 seconds (180.592 km/h).
Second fastest was French rookie Sébastien Bourdais with a time of 38.160
seconds. American rookie Ryan Hunter-Reay followed him. Canadian Alex Tagliani
finished seventh.
Drivers will return on track for the 165-lap race beginning at 2:00 p.m. local
time (9:00 a.m. Eastern Time). Team Player's drivers Tracy will start from the
pole while Carpentier will be on the inside of row five. A full report on
