Heylen Confident For Upcoming Cleveland Round source: conquestracing.com Following Jan Heylen's (#34 Champ Car Grand Prix of Belgium / Cosworth / DP01 / Bridgestone) and the Conquest Racing team's successful two-day test at Road America they are ready for some competition at the Champ Car Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by LaSalle Bank. The 2.106-mile street course will be held at the Burke Lakefront Airport and it is where Heylen had his season-best fifth place finish in 2006. The two test days at Road America were productive for the entire Conquest Racing team where they were able to learn a great deal of information which will be useful for the upcoming races. Heylen and team owner Eric Bachelart also had time during the short break between Portland and the Road America test to visit Belgium to promote the upcoming Champ Car Grand Prix of Belgium at Circuit Zolder. "I'm really looking forward to returning to Cleveland," said Heylen. "It is one of my favorite tracks on the schedule. The Burke Lakefront Airport track is wide open and there are a lot of opportunities for overtaking the competition. I had a great race here last year starting 16th and ending the race in fifth place and I'm sure we'll have a great performance again this weekend." "Cleveland has always been good to us," began Eric Bachelart, Conquest Racing team owner. "We have had very good performances in the past including a front row qualifying with Justin Wilson in 04. Jan also likes the track and after our productive test in Elkhart Lake, I feel that we are ready for a good weekend. This place is also special for our team as it is promoted by long time friend Mike Lanigan and the Mi-Jack promotion group." The Champ Car Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by LaSalle Bank kicks off on Friday, June 22nd with the first qualifying session of the weekend. The green flag drops on the fifth round of the 2007 Champ Car World Series on Sunday, June 24th at 1:00 p.m. EST. The race will be broadcast live on CBS Sports beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST.
