Audi's Timo Scheider double his pleasure today at Hockenheim when he won the last event of the DTM season and wrapped this season championship at the same time.
Even tough he was starting from third, Scheider quickly took the lead and was never in danger to lose his command to his main rival Paul di Resta (AMG Mercedes). Di Resta, who was trailing by only two points in the championship finished second about three seconds behind the newly crowned champion. Former champion Mattias Ekstrom was penalized for having held up di Resta on the opening lap and had to go into the pits for a three-second stop-go penalty. Teammates Jamie Green and Bruno Spengler caught with di Resta during the final laps and finished respectively third and fourth. Race Results: Pos Driver Car Gap 1.
