The panel, one of 10 that will travel to IndyCar Series venues in 2007 is part of a timeline that depict highlights in the racing legend's career. "I can't believe that I lived long enough to celebrate 50 years in racing," said the four-time Indianapolis 500 winner, who retired as a driver in 1993. "It's great to have been (in racing) for that long. When I started, I didn't think be there that long. All I can say is that I was lucky and I did pretty good." No deal Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage joked with Foyt about some of the memorabilia that will travel with the Foyt display, asking if the trophy from the first IndyCar Series event at Texas Motor Speedway will be among the items. Foyt responded by offering the trophy from Billy Boat's 1998 win at Texas Motor Speedway in exchange for the 1997 race, which was won by Arie Luyendyk. "I always like to be No. 1," Foyt said. On display Pedestals of members of the Texas Motor Sports Hall of Fame will be displayed in the atrium area adjacent to The Speedway Club for fans to see throughout the year. The aluminum pedestal of A.J. Foyt was unveiled during media day. Texas Motor Speedway hosts the Bombardier Learjet 550k on June 9 (10 p.m. EDT, ESPN2).
