Bryan Herta will be looking to follow in the footsteps of former team-mate Dan Wheldon after confirmation that he will drive the #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara of Andretti Green Racing for a third straight season. source: crash.net Herta recorded the first IndyCar Series victory in the XM Satellite Radio car, and his second win overall, by capturing the pole position and leading 159 laps at Michigan International Speedway in July - securing three pole positions over the course of the year and becoming the only driver to record a pole position on a road course, a short oval and a superspeedway. Admitting he was delighted to be staying with AGR for another year, Herta said his focus was on trying to repeat the feat of new Chip Ganassi driver Dan Wheldon in taking both the Indy 500 and the IRL title. "Clearly, my first choice was to return to Andretti Green Racing for another season," he said. "They have proven to be one of the very best auto racing teams in the world and I feel very fortunate to be a part of their team. I'm very glad to have the continuity of having XM Satellite Radio return as a sponsor and essentially the same group of engineers and mechanics working with me. "This will be our third year with XM Satellite Radio and I think we made great strides last year. We hope to build on that. My goal this season is to compete for a championship and a win in the Indianapolis 500."
