The Mi-Jack Conquest Champ Car team continued its winter testing program this past week in Sebring source: paddocktalk.com - rumors For Belgian Jan Heylen it was his second day at the wheel of a Champ Car. He turned a top time for the day of 51.73. While it was a reasonable time, and Paul Tracy, and Mario Dominguez were also on track, the results was still nearly a second shy of the top times over the winter.... but then... it is just testing, so obviously all the cards aren't on the table just yet, and conditions can vary widely. Heylen had high praise for the team, but the question on everyone's mind was whether there was something more to this relationship. Mi-Jack Conquest Racing co-owner Eric Bachelart. "I'm quite pleased that he was quickest in just his second day in the car and it shows we have strong technical program and that Jan clearly has a lot of potential in the car. This test is part of our preparations toward the season, and it's of course encouraging to be quick with a driver that is so new to the car." The PaddockTalk Perspective: So there ya go... If you were looking for a hint... there really isn't one. As for who will race for Conquest at Long Beach it is anyone's guess... But Heylen might be a first good one.
