Sunday, the Champ Car World Series put on an exciting race in front of a huge crowd on the city streets of Toronto

For nearly 55 laps, the Champ Car drivers drove within the limits. During that time, Sebastien Bourdais held an orderly position at the point. But dueling pitstops between the two leaders led to a fracas on the way out of the pits, as Paul Tracy muscled the McDonalds car out towards no mans land, and Bourdais decided he would have none of it. As the Newman/Haas car approached the yellow line, Bourdais swept back across Tracy's front wing damaging the Forsythe car. Unfortunately for Bourdais, his clean get-away was sabotaged by a speared right-rear tire. Champ Car officials ruled that it was just a 'racing incident', and that boys will be boys. So Paul took point. No penalty this year, but the tears were on their way.
