Target Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon both set the fastest laps during a shortened practice session yesterday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Dixon recorded a lap of 222.834 mph while Englishman Wheldon did a lap at 222.810 mph. Rain was again present as the drivers were only able to be on the track for less than an hour. Andretti Green's drivers Marco Andretti, Hideki Mutoh and Danica Patrick were third, fourth and fifth just in front of a surprising John Andretti who's replacing Jay Howard at Roth Racing. There is also a new driver on the track as Roger Yasukawa as been confirmed as the driver for the Beck Racing entry for the Indianapolis event. Practice is scheduled to resume Thursday but a 70 percent chance of rain is in the forecast. Pos Driver Team Speed 1. Scott Dixon Ganassi 222.834 mph 2. Dan Wheldon Ganassi 222.810 mph 3.
