Amongst all the action and excitement surrounding the Indianapolis 500, let's not forget that 18 aspiring drivers have entered in the Indy Lights Firestone Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

On May 26th, all drivers will take part in two separate practice sessions both in the morning while qualifications will presented at 3 p.m. The 40-lap race gets the green flag at 12:30 p.m. (ET) May 27.
Among the favorites are Sam Schmidt Motorsports team-mates Victor Carbone, Esteban Guerrieri and Josef Newgarden while reigning USAC National Drivers Championship title holder, Bryan Clauson, will compete in his first Firestone Indy Lights race for Schmidt's team.
Victor Garcia, who won on the Barber Motorsports Park road course in April, topped the speed chart during an Open Test on May 10 at the Speedway with a quick lap of 189.068 mph on the 2.5-mile oval. Rusty Mitchell was second (188.726) and Newgarden third (188.718).
Canadians David Ostella (Jensen Motorsports) and Quebecker Mikael Grenier (O2 Racing) will be competing at the Indianapolis famed oval for the first time.
