Mi-Jack Conquest Racing is looking forward to the final race of the 2005 Champ Car World Series season at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez facility in Mexico City with drivers Nelson Philippe and rookie Andrew Ranger source: Mi-Jack Conquest Racing - Kika Garcia-Concheso Both young drivers have continued to improve and show impressive speed this year, and are looking to the Mexico City race to finish the season off on a high note. Visiting Mexico once again brings back good memories for the team, as the Monterrey round earlier this season provided several highlights when Philippe led the race for twenty-three laps before Ranger came across the finish line in a record-setting second place at just 18 years old. Philippe, who speaks fluent Spanish in addition to English and his native French, enjoys the Mexican rounds of the Champ Car World Series, and feeds off the passion of the large crowds. Philippe is coming off an Australian race where he once again showed strong pace and ran in the top-five past the halfway point in the event, but was disappointed with the result after encountering problems late in the race. "Viva Mexico! I am ecstatic about going to Mexico City for our final race," said Philippe. "I feel at home there and I love the people. This year I will be wearing the Mexico colors on my helmet as a tribute to all their great fans. It's also our last race of the year and I am still looking for a very strong result. Luck hasn't been on my side this year but we continue to push and move forward because we know we are not far away. The Mi-Jack Conquest Racing team has been fantastic all year and I feel that we have all improved in every aspect of racing. We will be sharp, confident and I will do my best this weekend to ensure a great finish."
