Featuring the fastest street-line painter in the world source: cart.com Last week's episode of the Discovery Channel's Monster Garage turned a 750hp Champ Car into the fastest street-line painter in the world, with the hit show receiving one of the highest ratings of the season. Supporters of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford continued the recent trend of receiving more off-track exposure for their sponsorship dollars, this time for their involvement in the popular cable show, which has already attracted 3,234,000 viewers over the first four of the episode's scheduled six airings. Champ Car sponsors Bridgestone, Ford Motor Company and Cosworth were among the frontrunners of those receiving significant coverage from the ratings, which were parlayed into estimated dollar values through sponsorship exposure, time and mentions compared to the Discovery Channel's cost per 30-second commercial rate of $60,000. All values are based on the total of the scheduled six airings of the show through late December. Respected industry leader in sponsor exposure analysis Joyce Julius and Associates reported that the series' presenting sponsor and official tire manufacturer Bridgestone racked up $280,000 in value, while Ford Motor Company received $254,000 in exposure for over 15 mentions throughout the show's run. Bridgestone also gained another $84,000 worth of exposure for the Potenza racing tires used by all cars competing in the Champ Car World Series.
