Revenge may be sweet, but victory is even sweeter

Paul Tracy let his driving do the talking as he breezed across
the finish line at the Molson Indy Vancouver. It was Tracy's 24th career win,
his second time atop the podium in Vancouver and his second consecutive win in
his home and native land, becoming the first Canadian to win consecutive races
on home soil after winning the Toronto Molson Indy last week. Bruno Junqueira
finished second 17,820 seconds behind Tracy, with his Newman-Haas team-mate
Sebastien Bourdais 25,720 seconds behind in third place.
The Team Player's driver started from the pole, but was bumped
to the second spot when Bruno Junqueira jumped the start at the green. CART
ruled it as a violation twenty laps into the race and ordered Junquiera to step
aside and let Tracy pass. Once he regained the lead, Tracy never gave it up,
until the chequered flag gave him the victory.
"It's awesome. We got the pole Friday, we backed it up on Saturday and now
we have the win. Team Player's has given me a great car all year, we had a
perfect car all weekend and it gave me the double in Canada," an ecstatic
Tracy said moments after stepping out of his race car. "I was able to run
hard all day. The crew did a great job in the pits. I wasn't too happy at the
start because Bruno jumped the start, but CART made the right decision by
reversing our positions. Once I got in front I was much, much faster and I was
able to pull away. After the first pit stop we were able to pull away even
more."
