As defending race winner Hunter-Reay will start 7th source: Rocketsports Racing Rocketsports Racing took grip on the venerable Milwaukee Mile for its first of two oval races in the 2005 Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford and locked seventh and 14th position on the grid for Saturday afternoon's race. Defending race winner, Ryan Hunter-Reay knows what is takes to have a good race here, as he won from pole last year dominating the event when he lead all 250 laps and broke a Champ Car single-event record. That experience was one that he will never forget, and comes in hand this weekend as he returns to the Wisconsin oval for the third time behind the wheel of a Champ Car. During the two-hour morning practice session and the only practice time the team had before qualifying, saw the American Hunter-Reay seventh quick after 19 laps before he had to climb out of his #31 Briggs & Stratton/Rocketsports Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone because something broke with the wishbone of the car. The car was repaired with 30 minutes left in the session and Hunter-Reay was able to find himself in the top ten, posting the eighth fastest time of the morning. Qualifying order for this afternoon was determined by reverse order of the final results posted during the morning practice and Hunter-Reay rolled out tenth. His first green lap he posted a time of 21.631. His second time by, he improved his time posting a 21.454 (173.171 mph) good enough to post his seventh on the time charts at the end of the day.
